Plus-Size Secret Santa ❤
Earlier today, my friend Marcy Cruz, posted asking for advice on where to find her niece red pointe ballet shoes. Marcy is acting as a second parent to her 3 nieces after her brother passed away 3 years ago, and money is tight.
So, I chatted with a few folks in the plus-size community, and we’ve come up with a plan.
Secret Santa!
Plus-Size Secret Santa! The title is a liiiiittle redundant, because Santa Clause is already shopping in the Big & Tall section, but the title is because I’m hoping that the plus-size community will come together and be “Secret Santa” for Marcy’s family.
Below, we’ve shared the ages/descriptions of Marcy’s nieces. We’ve partnered with Plus Bklyn, where you can ship or drop off presents until 4pm on Dec 24! (Location info here.)

Marcy doesn’t want to know specific amounts that individuals donate, so I’m acting as Santa’s elf. I’ll be sharing screenshots of my account with Marcy to track donations, and updating the total amount here.

Her dream is to be a fashion designer. She actually got an internship last summer with a professor from Parsons where she learned how to sew and she has been practicing her sketching.
She loves fashion, the colors pink and blue, makeup (I already bought her some My Little Pony palettes from Colourpop) and fancy dresses. She’s a size 2X in clothing and 9W in shoes.

Savana — Age 15

Her favorite colors are black, red and purple. She has a girly goth aesthetic. She loves combat boots, faux leather skirts, long lace gloves, Converse sneakers, skull prints, studded things (especially sneakers). She is a brilliant artist and wants to work for Disney Pixar one day and create her own animated show where all the characters are unique and different.
She once wanted to start a boycott of My Little Pony because she felt like they were not showing Derpy Hooves enough because she was a “special” pony and she felt like the show should show more diversity. She also is all about upcycling, saving the environment and visiting Japan one day so she can buy all the manga she can. LOL! She’s a size 2X in clothing and 9 in shoes. She loves to get art supplies as gifts (she tends to draw with fine tip markers in sketchbooks) and a gift card to Barnes & Noble so she can buy books.
She is so smart and loves to have conversations about everything. I try to always speak love to her and tell her how beautiful she is, inside and out.

Angel — Age 11

She has such a big personality and is so full of life. She can’t stand still! She is always doing cartwheels, dancing around or just laughing. She also draws like her big sis Savana and is very good. She wants to own a circus when she gets older and be the lead acrobat that also does ballet on a tightrope. She loves the color pink, Our Generation dolls, notebooks to write in, anything from the Descendants on Disney and uniforms. Her favorite outfit is a blazer with a crest, a graphic tee and a tutu with boots.
She’s tall with long legs so while she wears a size 12 in pants, I have to get them in tall. She also wears a 12/14 in tops. Size 5 1/2 in shoes.

Marcy & Mom
I triiiiied to get Marcy & Mom tell me what they wanted for Christmas, and they stressed they just want the girls to have a good Christmas (I totally get that).
